On this very day October 21 2015 Marty Mc Fly and Doctor Emmett Brown traveled forward to the future! And discovered the wonder and awe of hover boards, Pepsi perfect, Flying cars and Jaws 19 and so much more(I'd be all day pointing out all the references)! Sadly it must have been an alternate future because this one has cars that don't hover and still run on gas, Pepsi that's not perfect, no hover boards and no Jaws 19 but we do have more upcoming sequels to Transformers(*gag*) and Avengers(Oy Vey) and we have communication programs like twitter and tumblr ran by and full of idiots . We do have however flat screen Television, high tech ipads and streaming services so at least the film did predicted the future.......just a bit. :XD:

I honestly cannot believe it. 2015! Nearly 30 years since Back to the Future came out. Now let me just say that I'm not an 80's kid. And not because I hate it I just grew at the end of the 80's(1988 to be exact). However I did caught the film trilogy on tv and let's just say that I felled in love with it. But it's not like something like Star Wars in that people get so religiously obsessed with it. It's because I grew up with it. To me the movies are a part of my childhood. Now back then there were no things like streaming services, Blu-rays and dvds. we only had VHS, basic television and the occasional rental store. It's funny because my experience with the movies is kind of wacky. Now while I remember bits and pieces of the 1st film the sequel on the other hand pretty much stuck in my brain. I found it to be so memorable from the writing, the music, the effects I mean just everything. And when the movie pointed that there was a 3rd film I literary had to be lucky If I had the chance to watch it. Again it was basic tv and there was no option for a tv guide.

Now back in 2001 when I went to Orlando Florida or the first time my parents took me to Universal Studios Florida and it had the Back To The Future The Ride(That was then before it was closed down in 2007) and in a strange way I felled in love again. To actually be in the Delorean and fly through time(in a simulated fictional way) really made me feel like that very same time I saw BTTF when I was 6 or 7. I still remember when I went through the gift shop and I saw the movies on VHS and my shock and surprise when I noticed that there was a Back To The future tv series. But to me the best thing I bought on that store was a simple toy car of the Delorean. Yet still it brought me a lot of Joy because it was the Delorean. As a kid I loved the car. The way it opened it's car doors, the way it traveled in time with the fiery tracks and the way it tilted it's tires when it into flight mode. I even remember that they had actual displays of the 3 Time Machines outside. The Original Delorean, The one from the second movie(I think it's called the Mark 2) and the Train one.

Now the funny thing is that on 2002 right after I came back from vacations in Florida they were showing Back To The Future Part 3 on tv. Now While I have ultra fond memories of Part II and III I wanted to re-watch it again because I only saw it once on tv and I kind of wanted to have the full experience again with no interruptions and it was still creative and fun and I find it fitting since I went through the BTTF ride again. I remember that I had Biff Tannen's lines memorized mostly because I found him so lovable as a villain. And I remember the christmas of 2002 when my mother took me to Wallmart and I saw the Back To The future trilogy on DVD. I asked my mom to get it for X-mas because not only I Loved the movies I also wanted to have them on dvd. And it's funny because when I got the set the 1st thing I did was pop the 1st film and there was something that awakened in me that felt satisfying. It goes beyond Nostalgia for me. Because when I saw the 1st film on tv I was very little and didn't payed much attention. Not out of boredom it's just that I was very young. The only thing however that I still remember was when The Delorean revealed itself descending from the truck in reverse and the ending when the Mark II Delorean flew to the future. But that's it. So to finally see the film in it's entirety felt fulfilling.

So yes Back To The Future is part of my childhood. When I was a kid I honestly looked up to Marty Mc Fly along with the actor Michael J Fox. I just found him to be so relate-able. He's just and ordinary teen going through something ridiculously extra-ordinary.

I find it really fascinating just how this trilogy inspired not only the movie industry but the entertainment industry as well. It get's quoted even to this very day not only from cartoons of the past like Tiny Toons to recent cartoons like Transformers Rescue Bots(Seriously Doc Greene is honestly the best tribute to Doc Brown ever) video games like Retro City Rampage. It has memorable quotes that can be quoted even today. Back To The Future is not just a movie it's a pop culture phenomenon and it's one that doesn't talk down to it's audience.

So I'm gonna end this with the quotes from Doctor Emmett Brown...
"Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make of it so make it a good one"
